I started making clothes about 5 years ago when I began my immersion into the alternative community that is the Psytrance scene in Australia. I couldn’t find a style I could buy that suited me or felt right, and inspired by the creativity and freedom that is our community I began to play with design and sewing, without having ever made a single outfit in my life. My simple style emerged based on my basic skills, my love for natural fabrics and simple designs.

Since then my curiosity has grown as has my desire to learn and do more. Recently whilst in India, feeling inspired and free to play, I invested in putting some of my original designs into production and immersed myself from start to finish as part of a learning process. I found a small family run business to work with, observed and worked along side their masters at each step and together we produced the ‘Original Squiz’  collection. From there, highly engaged and in flow I went on to design 4 completely new pieces and put them into production to make the 'Upgrades Collection'. 

 

Why upgrades?  Well, throughout my personal journey i always see challenges as an opportunity to grow - and whenever there has been a particularly significant challenge or period of growth i kind of joke that i've been 'upgraded'. India was most definitely a catalyst for significant growth and the 'upgrades' collection was born out of the culmination of that journey.

Each piece is hand made from natural cotton, hand dyed and made in fair and ethical conditions. I have personally been involved in the creation of each piece, and only a limited number has been produced.

I really hope you enjoy this launch collection and maybe find a piece you love, it’s been my absolute pleasure and privilege to pour my creativity and love into what has become my first ever real creative project.
